In what can only be described as an epic disaster of a Zoom call, President Joe Biden purportedly threw a monumental tantrum, screaming at none other than a decorated Bronze Star veteran. This report from Puck indicates that when Biden isn’t trying to remember where he left his keys, he’s apparently mistaking his digital meetings for WrestleMania.
The call between Biden and moderate Democrats was supposed to be an open forum for these moderates to voice their mounting fears as the S.S. Biden takes on more water than the Titanic. Whoops! Timing is a funny thing because this train wreck of a call initially got buried under the shocking news of an attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. Talk about a conversation killer.

According to sources who spoke to Puck, the mere fact the call existed was a cry for help. As Biden flounders and his approval ratings dip below sea level, moderate Democrats see their own political futures circling the drain. The exasperation reached new heights as Biden, losing his composure (and quite possibly, it seems, his marbles), reportedly vented his spleen on Rep. Jason Crow of Colorado, an Army veteran and Bronze Star recipient. Because nothing solidifies presidential diplomacy quite like berating a war hero.
Word also emerged that during another call on the same day with the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Biden was handed a note mid-meeting instructing him to “stay positive.” True to form, Biden read the note out loud, probably expecting a round of applause for mastering the art of flashcards. It seems the engine pulling the Biden Express is running out of steam—and talking points.
A member of Congress who attended the chaotic Zoom call revealed that had it not been for the newsstorm surrounding Trump’s assassination attempt, a mutiny could have been imminent. It was as if Biden’s dwindling capacity to string together coherent sentences was the final straw for Democrats who are just trying to keep their careers afloat.
During the call’s climax, Biden challenged Rep. Crow to name any foreign leader more effective than himself. In true Biden fashion, he bragged about NATO and then bizarrely compared Crow’s Bronze Star service to his late son Beau Biden’s own Bronze Star. Nothing says “commander-in-chief” like playing a twisted game of one-upmanship with a military vet.
Lastly, Puck suggested Biden might finally jump ship if poll numbers become “apocalyptic.” Spoiler alert: Given the current trajectory, he’s likely to see that dire data sooner rather than later. Telling Biden to “stay positive” might be like telling the Titanic’s passengers to enjoy the view.
With the Democrats in visible disarray, and a President who seems to need cue cards to make it through a conversation, it’s not a question of if, but when the narrative spins out of control entirely. The question that remains is, who will be the next to hit “Leave Meeting” on Team Biden?
