Amid a sea of liberal divisiveness and anti-Trump hysteria, real heroes are doing their best to stay afloat. James Copenhaver, 74, and David Dutch, 57, who were critically injured during the failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, have seen their conditions improve. While liberals would rather overlook such acts of bravery, decent Americans will remember these men’s sacrifices.
Both men had been rushed to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition after the attack, orchestrated by a clearly misguided 20-year-old. Now, their statuses have been upgraded to “serious condition,” providing a glimmer of hope for their recovery. One can only imagine what beaches of Normandy grit these men channel as they fight their way back from the precipice.

Copenhaver’s family shared that he had suffered devastating, life-altering injuries. It’s unknown how the liberal media will spin the narrative, but the average American sees the reality – peaceful supporters of Trump targeted simply for attending a rally, a gathering meant to celebrate American values, disrupted by senseless violence.
David Dutch, a patriotic member of the Marine Corps League, also sustained injuries but continues to fight on. His group has rallied around him, asking for prayers and support during his recovery. The nation collectively sends eternal thoughts and prayers – something the left loves to mock but remains a cornerstone for many Americans who see these men as more than just numbers in a news cycle.
Let’s not easily forget Corey Comperatore, who tragically lost his life at the rally. As we close in on the elections, conservatives should remember this attack as an example of the lengths to which some will go in their efforts to stifle conservative voices. The attempt on Trump’s life, albeit unsuccessful, speaks volumes about the current climate and the dangers faced by those who dare to voice support for him.
The Secret Service, currently under investigation for the mishaps leading to this security breach, owes it to the American people to ensure such inadequacies are addressed. Trump survived with minor injuries, narrowly escaping what could have been an even graver tragedy. While the left may crow about another political scandal, conservatives see through the media spin. These men – Copenhaver, Dutch, and the late Comperatore – are everyday heroes standing up for what’s right in a world where the Left would rather see them silenced.
