A curious pattern has emerged in Washington, where Joe Biden appears to be taking an extended backseat in what should be his own presidency. In recent weeks, he has seemed more like a ghost than the occupant of the Oval Office, as the spotlight shifts unmistakably to Kamala Harris. One has to wonder, is Biden trying to pull a fast one, keeping Harris in the limelight while he avoids the pressures of leadership? It turns out that for the past week, his public engagements have been remarkably sparse, consisting mostly of a meeting with returning Americans, a phone call with the King of Jordan, and an interview that raised more questions than it answered.
During a time of international strife and domestic instability, Americans may recall that Biden’s schedule is quieter than the proverbial church mouse. With rising tensions overseas, injuries reported in Iraq, and a downward-trending market, one has to question not only where Biden is but also where the responsibility lies. His silence speaks louder than any poorly crafted speech. The Biden-Harris administration appears intent on placing Harris front and center in this campaign season, possibly in hopes of bypassing the scrutiny that could arise from her taking full accountability.

However, Biden cannot seem to help himself when it comes to generating fear around the upcoming election. In a recent CBS interview, he was asked a straightforward question about the potential for a peaceful transfer of power come January 2025. His response seemed muddled, displaying a confusing slip where he implied he wouldn’t trust a peaceful transition if Trump were to lose—implying he might not even recognize Kamala as the rightful successor. One can only conjecture the implications of such a statement; does Biden believe the election’s outcome would somehow be in doubt?
Biden’s attempts to fan the flames of fear are nothing short of alarming. He insists that Trump poses a serious threat and suggests darkly that Republicans are plotting something sinister regarding the voting process. His narrative pushes a divisive agenda, one that accuses the opposition of election denial while he himself seems to sow discord and uncertainty. The absurdity is heightened when he echoes the supposed “bloodbath” that Trump would unleash if elected, failing to address the very real economic struggles his own policies have wrought on American families.
This unsettling trend isn’t isolated to Biden alone. Democratic representatives, like Jamie Raskin, follow suit with rhetoric about impending chaos and insurrection should the results not favor their party. Such hyperbole is deeply un-American and shows the Democrats’ true colors in fostering division. If anyone is suggesting mobs and threats, it’s the Democrats themselves, not Trump supporters. While Biden’s muddled messaging raises eyebrows, it’s clear that the real fears surrounding the upcoming election originate not from the Republican side but from the ongoing chaos and contradictory statements coming from the left. It’s the Democrats who are creating a climate of uncertainty, and the American people should take note.
