Under Joe Biden’s failed presidency, American families have suffered greatly due to skyrocketing inflation and unchecked illegal immigration. According to a recent report from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, homelessness in the United States has reached a record high, surging by 12 percent this year alone. The sharpest increase in homelessness was observed among families with children, rising by 15.5 percent, followed closely by unaccompanied youths, which saw a 15.3 percent increase. This alarming 12 percent spike in homelessness represents approximately 653,100 people on a single night, making it the largest one-year increase since federal statistics began being compiled in 2007.
Dennis Culhane, a homelessness expert from the University of Pennsylvania, identified unfettered illegal immigration as a significant factor in the unprecedented surge in homelessness. Culhane believes that the migrant crisis is a key driver of this problem, suggesting that without it, the increase in homelessness would not have been as severe. It comes as no surprise, then, that homeless shelters and housing programs have been overwhelmed by illegal aliens who have entered the country in droves during Biden’s disastrous tenure.

One disturbing example of the impact of Biden’s policies is the case of a 95-year-old Korean War veteran who was evicted from his nursing home in Staten Island, New York, to make room for migrants. This outrageous prioritization of illegal aliens over American citizens is infuriating, especially considering the shortage of affordable housing and the high cost of living that have left many Americans living paycheck to paycheck and just one crisis away from ending up on the streets.
It is incomprehensible that while hundreds of thousands of Americans, including families with children, are forced to sleep on the streets, taxpayer resources are being diverted to shelter and feed illegal aliens who should not even be in the country in the first place. Biden’s America has become a crime-infested dumping ground for unvetted waves of migrants, posing a threat to public safety and draining taxpayer funds. If this trajectory continues, it is only a matter of time before the entire country succumbs to this tragic self-destruction.
