President Joe Biden ’s ambitious 2025 budget proposal is going down like a lead balloon with those on the right side of the aisle, as Republicans have swiftly declared the request dead on arrival in Congress. Without skipping a beat, they are taking aim at what they call the administration’s “insatiable appetite for reckless spending.”

Republicans in both the House and Senate wasted no time in lambasting the White House ’s wish list for fiscal 2025, which includes a whopping $7.3 trillion in spending and $5.5 trillion in tax revenue, ultimately leading to a deficit of nearly $1.8 trillion for 2025.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and the House Republican leadership team did not hold back, accusing President Biden’s proposed budget of exemplifying the administration’s insatiable desire for reckless spending, and the Democrats’ overall disregard for fiscal responsibility.
