Biden’s Bureaucracy Explosion Costs Americans 1.47 Trillion

The administrative state keeps getting bigger, and Chris Queen breaks it down in a new report from Advancing American Freedom. The report reveals that the Federal Register, where all the federal rules and regulations are listed, has grown a whopping 58% since 1976. That’s a lot of red tape wrapping around our lives.

During the Obama years, the Federal Register expanded even more. It went from 69,643 pages in 2009 to over 90,000 pages by the end of 2023. That’s a 30% growth in just a few years! It’s no surprise that more rules mean more impact on the economy. Economically Significant Rules (ESRs) increased during the Obama administration, and we’ve seen a flood of them under President Biden.

The Biden administration has released nearly 900 final rules that could cost $1.47 trillion! That’s a big bill for Americans to foot. Federal agency budgets have doubled since 1980, leading to a government with over 400 agencies and 2.2 million employees. Imagine all the taxpayer money going into that big bureaucracy!

Conservatives like Pence are sounding the alarm about government overreach. They warn of record inflation, more regulations, and mandates that tell people what they can and can’t do. Limited government and fewer regulations are what Americans want, not more bureaucracy. It’s time to cut back on the red tape and let freedom ring!

It’s clear that the administrative state is out of control, and Americans are fed up. The Founding Fathers never meant for the government to be this big and intrusive. It’s time to rein it in and bring back the principles of limited government and individual freedom. Let’s work together to save America from drowning in bureaucracy!
