President Joe Biden’s big arrival in the Oval Office brought with it the phrase, “America is back.” Sounds great, right? Well, not so fast. According to some, America was actually doing pretty well under the leadership of President Donald Trump. Trump kept the peace for four years and made America’s enemies run for the hills.
But, when Biden came in and started undoing Trump’s policies, things took a turn for the worse. Let’s take a look at what they say went wrong:

First up, Biden handed out money to Palestinians through UNRWA, even though they were involved in not-so-nice activities. Then, he dropped sanctions on Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which led to Russia making moves in Europe. Next, he rejoined the sketchy UN Human Rights Council, a move that didn’t seem to do much good.
Biden also tried to revive the Iran nuclear deal, which didn’t sit well with many. He even took the Houthis off the terrorism list, even though they were causing trouble in Yemen. And let’s not forget about his gestures towards Iran, lifting sanctions that didn’t go over well with many folks.
When it comes to the Middle East, Trump had a peace plan that didn’t focus on making a Palestinian state the main goal. But Biden seemed to put that state at the center of everything, causing some issues with other peace talks. And speaking of peace, progress on the Abraham Accords seemed to slow down once Biden took over.
There were even mentions of revoking sanctions on the International Criminal Court, lifting sanctions on Venezuela, and opposing Israel at the United Nations. Not to mention the threat of withholding weapons from Israel and imposing sanctions on Israelis. Yikes!
So, according to some, Biden’s actions have created quite a stir, with critics pointing out potential dangers and issues along the way. Looks like things might not be as rosy as some thought when “America is back” became the motto.
