Joe Biden’s latest antics have once again raised eyebrows—and not in a good way. His recent comments, in which he labeled Trump supporters as “garbage,” could very well be the death knell for Kamala Harris’ already floundering campaign. In trying to take a jab at a comic who poked fun at Trump during a Madison Square Garden rally, Biden ended up attacking millions of Americans instead. This gaffe overshadowed Harris’ attempts to present a unified front for her campaign, leading to speculation about whether Biden’s blunders are sabotaging her on purpose or simply revealing his own incompetence.
The fallout from Biden’s remarks was swift, with the White House scrambling to smooth over the mess. Even left-leaning media figures, like former CNN’s Chris Cillizza and Kaitlan Collins, found themselves unable to excuse Biden’s behavior. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, a fellow Democrat, distanced himself from Biden’s remarks, emphasizing that he would never insult the supporters of a political opponent. Clearly, Biden’s clumsy insults have become a topic of greater concern than Harris’ so-called closing argument speech, which is a testament to how far Biden has derailed his own party’s narrative.

While commenting on Puerto Rico at the Baltimore port, he made a statement that could easily be construed as a thinly veiled threat, expressing a desire to “take that guy for a swim out there.” Speculation abounded about whom he meant—some believed it was the comic, while others worried it could be a reference to Trump himself. Regardless of the target, it was a reckless comment that left his intent open to interpretation and painted him as dangerously unhinged, especially given Trump’s history of facing serious threats.
This incident isn’t just irresponsible; it raises serious questions about Biden’s stability. He seems blissfully oblivious to the consequences of his words. Calling Trump supporters garbage and suggesting physical aggression against Trump or anyone associated with him speaks volumes about the Democrats’ so-called commitment to unity and democracy. Despite constantly claiming to be the party of tolerance, Biden’s words reveal a deeply divisive mindset that ultimately undermines his own proclaimed values.
With previous threats against Trump resulting in actual violence against his supporters, one has to wonder how the Secret Service feels about their responsibility to protect the former president, especially when Biden makes these kinds of inflammatory remarks. If Trump weren’t a former president but rather an average citizen, Biden would likely find himself in serious trouble with the law. However, under the current administration’s bizarre logic, it seems the only punishment is serving up cringeworthy speeches and further embarrassment for the White House.
In the grand scheme, Biden’s latest blunders may indeed constitute the October Surprise that keeps on giving, but not in the way his supporters would hope. His missteps have not only endangered Kamala Harris’ campaign but may also signify his own weakening grip on sanity and the party’s direction. Biden is proving to be a liability for the Democrats; karma seems to be catching up with both him and Harris, igniting a firestorm that no amount of spinning can put out.
