In order to address concerns regarding the company's safety procedures, Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun is scheduled to testify before the Senate Homeland Security Subcommittee on Capitol Hill at 2:00 p.m. The hearing, "Boeing’s Broken Safety Culture," comes after one in April during which a Boeing engineer said he was penalized for voicing safety concerns about the 777 and 787 Dreamliner planes. Furthermore, Boeing recently revealed that it's possible that some fasteners on the fuselages of its fleet of 787 Dreamliners were fitted incorrectly.
Senator Richard Blumenthal has been an outspoken opponent of Boeing, charging that the business puts profits ahead of quality and safety. He underlined that Boeing's purported safety failings should be explained to the American people. The airline has recently experienced a number of difficulties, including as flight diversions and emergency landings brought on by mid-air malfunctions. A noteworthy incident occurred in January when a door plug on an Alaska Airlines aircraft blew out mid-flight.

It's anticipated that the panel would closely examine Boeing's safety procedures and culture. Senators will probably grill Calhoun over the company's resolve to put employee safety ahead of profits. Legislators have the chance to hold Boeing responsible during this session and demand that the company disclose all of its safety procedures.
