Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, is being criticized by Christians for using a Bible verse to promote a pro-abortion agenda.
On Thursday, Newsom posted a photo on Twitter of what appeared to be billboards that would be placed in various pro-life states, such as Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas.
The billboard featured a passage from Mark 12:31, which says, "Love your neighbor as yourself." Christians and Catholic priests criticized the campaign. They noted that the passage was one of the most distorted Bible verses.
