CNN is being given another chance at streaming, this time with the help of its parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery. The new streaming service, called “CNN Max,” will offer a 24/7 livestream of content on Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming platform, Max. This comes after CNN’s previous streaming attempt, CNN+, failed and was shut down just weeks after its launch.
According to JB Perrette, an executive at Warner Bros. Discovery, CNN Max stands out because it offers 24/7 news from CNN, a leading global news organization, and is available on a streaming service that attracts a younger audience. This will give Max customers the opportunity to stay informed about the world’s events, especially during breaking news moments, all in one seamless experience.

In addition to the livestream, CNN Max will also feature original shows that cannot be found on cable television. This gives subscribers even more exclusive content to enjoy. The best part? Subscribers of Max will not have to pay extra to access CNN Max, whether they are on the ad-supported or more expensive plans.
This second attempt at streaming for CNN comes after Max recently underwent its own rebranding. Previously known as HBO Max, the streaming service changed its name on May 23rd. With this new partnership and platform, CNN has a fresh opportunity to captivate viewers in the ever-growing world of streaming.
