In a shocking turn of events, D.C. City Councilmember Trayon White has actually made some sense for once. White is calling for the National Guard to be deployed to help tackle the skyrocketing crime rates in the nation’s capital. And trust us folks, D.C. really needs all the help it can get!

Crime in D.C. is going through the roof! With 161 murders already this year, the city is on track to surpass last year’s record. Carjackings are up a whopping 28 percent, and violent crime overall has jumped a mind-boggling 37 percent. It’s chaos out there, folks!

White, who represents the most violent area of D.C., is fed up with the situation, and rightly so. He has declared that it’s time to take drastic action to protect innocent lives. He even suggested that the National Guard be called in to save the day. It’s about time someone realized that our beloved city needs more than just fancy speeches and empty promises!
But let’s not forget the real reason for this crime wave: the disastrous policies of the left. Last year, while the Black Lives Matter riots were tearing the city apart, the city council actually cut funding for the Metropolitan Police Department. Can you believe it? In the midst of lawlessness, they decided to defund the very people who protect us. It’s almost as if they want chaos and mayhem!
And you know what happened next? Mayor Muriel Bowser, a Democrat, suddenly had a change of heart and proposed increasing the police department’s budget. But it’s too little, too late! The damage has already been done. The morale within the MPD is at an all-time low, and experienced officers are leaving or retiring early because they can’t handle the madness anymore.
It’s clear that D.C. needs a savior. And who better than the brave men and women of the National Guard to come to the rescue? These heroes have the training and expertise to restore law and order. It’s time to put an end to this liberal experiment and get serious about protecting our residents.
Trayon White may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but even a broken clock is right twice a day. In this case, he hit the nail on the head. We need to act urgently, before more innocent lives are lost. It’s time to unleash the full force of the National Guard and take back our streets. Let’s make D.C. safe again!
