The unsurprising panic within the ranks of the Democratic Party over Joe Biden’s performance reached a fever pitch after the June 27 debate debacle. The event unraveled quicker than a cheap suit, laying bare the frail scaffolding of Biden’s candidacy and turning the race for 2024 into a full-blown circus. His blunders, such as referring to Donald Trump as the vice president, have amplified concerns about his mental fitness. CNN’s recent in-depth coverage sheds light on the backstage drama between Obama and Biden. They may paste on smiles in public, but the coziness has long since faded. Reports indicate that introducing a new player into this botched Biden saga would only provide fodder for Trump’s campaign rallies. Everyone knows the former reality TV star loves a good comeback story, and what better narrative than Obama nudging Biden out the door?
