But it’s not all doom and gloom for the President because some unnamed House Democrats, ever the paragons of bravery, are more optimistic about Biden’s energy level. These bold individuals believe that as long as Biden has the time to prepare, his energy will shine through and save the day.
On the other hand, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) is apparently the voice of reason, expressing his expectation that Biden will knock it out of the park with a strong performance during the State of the Union address. He emphasized the importance of Biden demonstrating vigor and quick thinking to dispel doubts about his ability to handle a potential second term.
Meanwhile, Democratic strategists are adding a splash of wisdom to the mix, highlighting the significance of Biden’s delivery, not just the substance of his speech. One strategist, Doug Sosnik, has even gone so far as to suggest that Biden’s delivery will be just as important as the content of his speech.
Lastly, some other Democrats seem to be pinning their hopes on the contrast between Biden and former President Donald Trump, seeing it as Biden’s potential “saving grace.” They believe that the disparity between the two will ultimately work in Biden’s favor.
