DeSantis Rockets Team Trump into Outrage with ‘Listless Vessels’ Remark

In a recent speech, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made a comment that has caused quite a stir among Team Trump. They are accusing him of having a “basket of deplorables” moment. But let’s take a closer look at what DeSantis actually said. He mentioned “listless vessels” and how a movement can’t be about the personality of one individual. He emphasized that it has to be based on principles and what is best for the American people.

Now, can someone please explain to me how that is attacking Trump supporters? DeSantis didn’t even mention Trump supporters in his speech. He was actually calling out those who label conservatives like Chip Roy as RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) just because they don’t blindly support everything Trump does. There are plenty of Trump supporters who don’t fall into that category.

DeSantis also talked about the danger of being “listless vessels”—people who just follow whatever happens to come down the pike on Truth Social every morning. He was clearly referring to the broader conservative movement, not just Trump supporters. And honestly, is it really offensive to suggest that our conservative movement should be based on principles and policies, rather than the whims of one personality?

Sure, candidates will always try to twist their opponent’s words to fit their narrative, but let’s not get too caught up in the drama. I highly doubt DeSantis’ comment will make any difference to the diehard Trump supporters. They’re not going anywhere. So let’s focus on the real issues and policies that affect the American people, rather than getting caught up in petty squabbles over misinterpreted statements.
