Does Apple’s Request to Rehire Employees Make Them Racist?

Close×

Another file titled "You can't make these things up!" may be found here. Folder: Apple employees claim they were asked to return to work because they are racist against their coworkers. The left is redefining the term racist to encompass "anything it doesn't like," and this is a dangerous trend.

During an open forum, over two hundred Apple employees who were members of a group known as "Apple Together" voiced their disapproval of the decision made by the firm to require staff to report back to the office after the extended COVID break.

“It doesn't make sense to hire smart people and then tell them what to do. We hire smart people so they can tell us what to do.”

This whiney tirade reads precisely like something your 13-year-old might write to you if they were trying to persuade you that they shouldn't have to go to school tomorrow. You won't be able to avoid going to work, can you?

They are firm in their conviction, despite the fact that others have a difficult time comprehending the reason why.

Starting on April 11, according to Apple CEO Tim Cook's statement to the team, workers are required to be present in the workplace at least once every week. They said that the demands of the job could only be handled by the most privileged members of society.

A few examples of advantages include being born in the ideal location so that you never have to relocate, being able to relocate to a different nation or city when you are young, and having your spouse share the duty of raising your children with you.

These difficulties have existed for employees ever since the beginning of time, and they have not changed in the least.

Imagine what an incredible opportunity it would be to work for one of the most profitable organizations in the whole world. They follow the instructions given to them by their employer.

We don't want anybody to feel like they have to be working remotely against their will. Together, we will determine which of the several arrangements is optimal for us to pursue.

You are not a student. You are an employer. They are able to provide you with guidance and will inform you if it is required.

Working together is a wonderful thing. Everyone is aware of the advantages that come from working together in person. The Hybrid Work Pilot makes it possible for all members of the group to be present whenever it is necessary to do so.

Imagine the situation if truck drivers or gardeners decided it was too tough to wake up and go to work every morning because it was too difficult to get up.

During a time of crisis, the use of amazing technologies like Zoom, Slack, and Google Meetings assisted us in identifying novel approaches to our job. The use of these technologies in the workplace was not intended to become the "new norm." People need to genuinely work together (not just communicate via a computer) and have face-to-face meetings in order for so many successful American businesses to innovate and be creative. An entitled and privileged worldview, which is not a healthy barometer for the future of our economy, is reeking of entitlement and privilege when it claims that being obliged to show up every now and then is "racist" and unduly taxing.
