The recent revelation from the Department of Justice that it has “found” missing transcripts regarding President Joe Biden raises more questions than it answers. The DOJ made this announcement just after Biden’s abrupt exit from the 2024 presidential race, sparking suspicion that the timing is anything but coincidental. It’s hard not to wonder if this is a textbook case of political protection in full swing.
Previously, the DOJ had insisted these transcripts from Biden’s conversations with his biographer were nonexistent. Now, only days after Biden dropped out, they claim to have stumbled upon this crucial evidence linked to the investigation into his mishandling of classified materials. This revelation comes almost half a year after former special counsel Robert Hur concluded his investigation, which described Biden as a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” Isn’t it interesting that the DOJ suddenly has a change of heart once the political winds have shifted?

These newly discovered transcripts could potentially shoot the scandal surrounding Biden’s actions into the stratosphere. Many are speculating that the Biden administration might be navigating a delicate power shift, perhaps nudging Biden toward resignation to pave the way for Harris to step into a more advantageous position as an incumbent. With so much at stake—and the evidence of dishonesty mounting—anything seems possible within this administration. Observers are left to wonder if they are witnessing a grand political maneuver or merely a twist of fate. One thing is clear: this stench has the distinct aroma of political gamesmanship.
