Nearly two-thirds of Democratic voters, according to a recent poll, do not want President Joe Biden to seek reelection in 2024.
According to a survey conducted by the New York Times and Siena College and released on Monday, 64% of respondents stated they would prefer the party choose a new president in 2024.
Biden’s age and work performance were listed as the top two reasons respondents wanted another choice.
Significantly, the poll revealed that 94% of participants under the age of 30 think Democrats should choose someone else than Biden, who would become the oldest president in US history.
This occurs while Biden faces harsh criticism for his actions, raising further questions about his mental fitness for office.
Donald Trump, the 45th president, highlighted that many people Biden’s age and older are still as capable and intelligent as ever in a Truth Social post on Sunday.
Biden, according to Trump, is not one of them.
Trump emphasized that Biden’s intellectual and mental issues are unrelated to his age and made the remark that life doesn’t start for real until 80.
As America deals with worsening economic and social difficulties, it looks that Biden has become the most despised president in the previous 75 years, adding fuel to the flames.
Biden’s approval rating of 38%, according to a poll released on Monday by FiveThirtyEight, is the lowest of any president since 1945, with the exception of Harry Truman.
Truman’s approval rating was 33% in 1946. This can be contrasted with Trump’s 42 percent approval rating at the same period in his presidency, Richard Nixon’s 54 percent approval rating, and Dwight Eisenhower’s 70 percent approval rating. The poll reveals that Republican presidents performed better than their Democratic counterparts during their second year in office.
