Former NSA and CIA chief Michael Hayden came under fire during Thanksgiving week for making outrageous claims about patriotic American Christians. In response to a post on social media that compared a photo of a woman holding an American flag, Bible, and handgun with a picture of a Palestinian terrorist, Hayden commented, “No different at all.” This comment sparked outrage among conservatives, who accused Hayden of equating law-abiding Christians with terrorists.

Conservative commentator criticized Hayden’s remark, pointing out that the former CIA Director under Obama had shown a pattern of abusing his power. This commentator also expressed pleasure at being blocked by Hayden, mocking him as a “small-minded tyrant with a Napoleon complex.”
Hayden’s claim is even more outrageous considering the recent terrorist attack by Hamas that killed 1,200 Israelis. This attack, the worst on Jewish people since the Holocaust, shows the true danger of terrorist organizations like Hamas. Yet, Hayden continues to smear gun-owning Christians and Trump supporters in an ongoing campaign.
Hayden has a history of making controversial statements. He previously called for the removal of Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville from the “human race” and claimed that the GOP was more dangerous than Al Qaeda and ISIS. Despite authorizing drone strikes against violent extremists, Hayden now labels Republicans as the most “dangerous” political force on earth.
It’s no surprise that Hayden is both a CNN talking head and an adviser for NewsGuard, a censorship platform masquerading as a neutral resource for “trustworthy” news outlets. NewsGuard not only pushes people towards corporate-owned media but also labels and attempts to censor right-wing news sites. In the past, Hayden has even justified sharing disinformation as long as it serves his political agenda, showing a flagrant disregard for the truth.
Furthermore, Hayden falsely claimed that Hunter Biden’s laptop was “Russian disinformation,” ignoring the undeniable evidence against the Biden family. His involvement in trying to suppress this story, along with other intelligence officials, raises questions about their motives and loyalty. It’s clear that Hayden has a pattern of disregarding the truth and pushing his own agenda, making him unfit to hold positions of influence and power.
