Explosive emails! Weiss, DOJ Conspired Against Hunter Biden Probe

The Justice Department has been criticized after it was revealed that it intervened in an investigation regarding the Biden family's business. Emails revealed that the department intervened in response to congressional inquiries related to David Weiss, the US Attorney for Delaware. This collaboration between the two agencies raises questions about possible collusion.

According to a report by The Federalist, Weiss and his assistant, Shannon Hanson, exchanged emails about the investigation of Hunter Biden. In her email, she noted that she was not informed about the status of the Office of Legislative affairs' response to the letter from Grassley and Johnson. However, a later email revealed that the office was working on a response and that the letter that Weiss sent on behalf of the Department of Justice did not address the senators' questions.

In response to a letter from Johnson and Grassley, they sent another request to Weiss, the FBI's director, and Attorney General Garland. The Office of Legal Counsel then informed Weiss's office that it would be handling the response.

Kash Patel, a former aide to the House Intelligence Committee, criticized the actions of the Department of Justice. He said that it was not acceptable for the agency to obstruct the congressional inquiries by creating schemes to hinder their production. He urged Republicans to take stronger measures against the department.

On June 7, Weiss told the House investigators that he had the power to charge Hunter Biden. However, emails from the Freedom of Information Act revealed that the statements made by Attorney General Garland were contradicting those of Weiss. According to IRS whistleblowers, Weiss had also stated that he had no power to bring charges against Biden.

In response to the allegations, House Republicans have issued a subpoena to four FBI and IRS officials. They are believed to have heard Weiss say that he did not have the authority to create a special counsel and that he was prevented from charging the president's son outside of Delaware. The chairs of the House Judiciary and House Ways and Means Committees, Jim Jordan and Jason Smith, have urged the public to be aware of the truth and demanded that the documents be turned over.

Some of the allegations made by whistleblowers were confirmed by the New York Times in June. According to them, the Department of Justice prevented Weiss from charging Hunter Biden in California and Washington. In July, the plea agreement reached with the Justice Department regarding Biden fell apart following a judge's scrutiny. The case is expected to be held either in California or Delaware.

The American people have a right to know about the truth about these issues. The allegations of obstruction and collusion by the Department of Justice are very concerning. Moreover, the fact that Hunter Biden got immunity from any future charges as part of his plea deal is also worrying. The department's actions should be investigated to make sure that justice is done.
