In an angry argument on Tuesday, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) said that Dr. Anthony Fauci helped pay for the Wuhan lab in China and then lied about it. Paul said, "Anthony Fauci knew from the start that he was helping to pay for this lab, and he did everything that he could to make it happen." It's all over our government. Eight different parts of our government are hiding the fact that they help fund this Wuhan lab. Paul also said that he is still not getting access to unclassified information, even though Congress voted unanimously to make that information public.

When Paul made his charges, Fauci's testimony was the most explosive part. Paul said, "Yes, we have proof that they were lying. Anthony Fauci lied to me in hearings, which is a felony that can get you up to five years in prison." He told us in emails that he knew it was gain of function, that the virus looked like it had been changed, and that he was afraid it came from the Wuhan lab.
Paul was also worried about who was watching over the experiments at the Wuhan lab and criticized the fact that the safety committee wasn't in charge of its funds. "We also know that this should have been looked at by a safety committee." We also know that Anthony Fauci skipped the safety committee. They set up a safety committee to make sure this wouldn't happen, but Anthony Fauci let the money go through the committee without seeing it.
Finally, Paul said badly about Fauci: "This is a bombshell revelation, and this will eventually bring down Anthony Fauci." In an earlier interview with Breitbart, Paul said that Fauci was "dishonest" and trying to hide important facts about where the virus came from. He used emails between Fauci and well-known virologists as proof that the virus might have been changed in the lab.
It's clear that Senator Paul is very worried about what Dr. Fauci is doing and thinks that the fact that he helped pay for the Wuhan lab and then allegedly lied about it should lead to more investigations and responsibility. These claims have big effects on Fauci's reputation and trustworthiness, and they make people wonder how the COVID-19 pandemic is being handled.
