A well-known YouTuber, Adam Knowles, is currently on the road to recovery after a recent attempt to fire a rocket launcher went horribly wrong. In a video uploaded on November 22, Knowles, who is an Army veteran, intended to demonstrate the danger of standing directly behind a Soviet-era RPG-7 during a projectile launch. However, things took a turn for the worse when the launcher experienced a catastrophic failure, causing serious injuries to Knowles and sending him to the hospital.

Throughout the video, Knowles successfully fired a number of projectiles with different weapons. But when he positioned a dummy human hand directly behind a Carl Gustaf M2 launcher, the force of the blast caused the hand to separate from the dummy. The video footage, slowed down to 50,000 frames per second, revealed the extent of the damage inflicted by the gases emitted from the launcher.
In a chilling moment caught on camera at the 8:45 mark of the video, the RPG-7 malfunctioned and exploded inside the weapon, rendering Knowles unconscious and knocking his military-grade helmet into the air. Miraculously, Knowles managed to keep all of his limbs and fingers, and he is expected to make a full recovery. However, his hospital stay has resulted in a staggering $300,000 bill, prompting him to seek financial assistance through a crowdfunding campaign.
Despite this terrifying incident, Knowles remains determined to continue testing weapons for the enjoyment of his viewers. He plans to return to his popular channel, Ballistic High-Speed, once he has fully recuperated. The incident serves as a reminder that while firearms can be exhilarating to shoot, they should always be treated with caution and respect. Regular maintenance and proper ammunition usage are crucial to preventing potentially dangerous malfunctions.
