Recently, President Biden announced that a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas is on the horizon. This information follows the President’s intense discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The proposed deal, which has been in the works for months, aims to create a pathway toward peace and security for all involved. The objective of the deal includes the freeing of hostages, halting the ongoing conflict, and preparing much-needed assistance for the Palestinians who have faced unimaginable hardship due to the conflict initiated by Hamas.
According to reports, the deal is moving forward in stages. The first phase would include the release of 33 hostages, with hopes that two Americans would be included in this group. Following this, there would be the release of Israeli soldiers and a withdrawal of the Israel Defense Forces from Gaza. The final phase would address the removal of the bodies of those who have tragically lost their lives as well as any remaining hostages.
