Hunter Biden, the first son of President Joe Biden, has adopted a new strategy to distance himself from his former business partner Devon Archer. In his efforts to maintain a clean image, Hunter has taken to calling Archer “inmate,” referring to Archer’s recent conviction in a tribal bond scheme. Hunter’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, even sent a letter to the House Oversight Committee describing Archer as an “inmate” who was not involved in any wrongdoing with Hunter.
Archer’s conviction, which was initially overturned but then reinstated, has caused a rift between the two former friends. Archer had reached out to Hunter in 2019, seeking his help and wondering why Joe Biden’s administration hadn’t done more to protect him. However, Hunter was quick to distance himself from Archer’s legal troubles, claiming that his father had no control over such prosecutions.

Despite Hunter’s attempts to distance himself, his association with Archer and their shady overseas business dealings have raised questions about Joe Biden’s involvement. A transcript of Archer’s closed-door testimony before the House Oversight Committee revealed that Joe Biden had attended dinners with Hunter’s business associates, including one with a Ukrainian executive from the energy firm Burisma Holdings. This raises concerns about potential conflicts of interest and corruption within the Biden family.
With Hunter set to testify before the House Oversight Committee, his legal and public relations strategy seems to be focused on discrediting Archer and downplaying his own involvement. However, Archer’s testimony and the evidence from Hunter’s abandoned laptop provide further ammunition for those alleging corruption within the Biden family. It remains to be seen how this ongoing saga will unfold and what impact it will have on the Biden administration.
