CNN’s legal analyst Joey Jackson is making excuses for Hunter Biden yet again. In response to the recent charges against Hunter, Jackson claims that “if it were not for the whistleblowers” we wouldn’t be here. Well, Joey, maybe if Hunter hadn’t engaged in shady business dealings and tax evasion, there wouldn’t be anything for the whistleblowers to blow the whistle on!
It’s absurd for Hunter’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, to suggest that these charges are politically motivated. We’re all familiar with the Democrats’ favorite deflection tactic: blaming everything on political motives. The truth is, Hunter Biden is facing charges because he broke the law. It’s that simple. And the fact that he’s the son of a former Vice President shouldn’t give him a free pass.

The real question here is whether these charges should be criminal or civil. Jackson seems to think they should be handled with kid gloves, arguing for a more lenient approach. But let’s not forget that we’re talking about millions of dollars in unpaid taxes. That’s not something that should be brushed off lightly. We need to hold Hunter accountable for his actions, just like we would any other citizen.
The fact that Hunter was originally only supposed to face a misdemeanor charge in Delaware is even more concerning. It reeks of political favoritism and special treatment. The American people deserve equal justice under the law, regardless of who their family members are. It’s time for Hunter Biden to face the consequences of his actions, no matter how hard his defenders try to spin the story.
