Ivermectin: The Big Bad Wolf the Government Wants You to Avoid
Hold onto your hats folks, because the government’s at it again! It seems that while many doctors have questioned the effectiveness of ivermectin in treating COVID-19, they haven’t even had the chance to prescribe it to their patients. Why, you ask? Well, because the government and those high and mighty medical associations told them not to! Talk about a power trip!
You see, physician practices and hospitals wouldn’t allow doctors to prescribe the drug, and if they dared to go against the almighty recommendations, they faced termination! Can you believe it? Just when you thought doctors were the ones in charge of your health, it turns out they’re just puppets on a string. And to add insult to injury, even if you managed to get a prescription for ivermectin, major pharmacies wouldn’t fill it! Bureaucratic red tape strikes again – this time, in the form of denying you the potential life-saving treatment you deserve.
But wait, it gets better. In August 2021, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) decided to chime in on Twitter of all places. They wrote, and I kid you not, “You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y’all. Stop it.” Can you believe the audacity? Instead of sharing reliable information and letting people make their own choices, the FDA resorts to condescension and ridicule. As if we needed more proof that they think we’re all a bunch of mindless farm animals.
To make matters worse, the FDA doubled down on their nonsense during oral arguments in a court case before the U.S. Court of Appeals. Their attorney, Ashley Cheung Honold, had the nerve to claim that doctors can actually prescribe ivermectin for off-label use. Wow, way to contradict yourselves, FDA! It seems like they just want to have their cake and eat it too. They can’t stop themselves from spreading fear and confusion one minute, then flip-flop and pretend like they never said anything at all.
But don’t worry, the heroic doctors fighting this battle aren’t backing down. They allege that the FDA illegally interfered in their practice of medicine, and they’re taking their case to the courts. Unfortunately, a federal judge dismissed their case last year, but they’re not giving up. Now they’re appealing the decision, and they have a point. After all, shouldn’t doctors have the freedom to prescribe what they believe is best for their patients? Or are we supposed to just bow down to the government’s dictates without question?
During the oral arguments, Circuit Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod confronted the FDA attorney about the condescending tweet, asking why they used the phrase “Stop it.” And you know what the FDA’s response was? They brushed it off as a mere “quip.” Can you believe it? They think they can talk down to us, make fun of us, and then wave it off like it was all just a harmless joke. Well, let me tell you, there’s nothing funny about denying people access to potentially life-saving treatments.
In the end, the FDA attorney had the audacity to claim that government agencies can’t be held accountable for false or misleading statements. They actually had the nerve to argue that they’re “politically accountable” and therefore immune to legal consequences. Well, isn’t that just convenient? They can say whatever they want, spread fear and misinformation, and then hide behind political immunity. It’s a disgrace!
So, my fellow Americans, it’s time to wake up. Don’t let the government and its cronies dictate what treatments you can or cannot have. Stand up for your rights, demand access to all potential options, and don’t let them treat you like dumb farm animals. We deserve better, and it’s time to fight for it. Remember, the Big Bad Wolf isn’t the one huffing and puffing – it’s the government trying to blow our house down.
