The January 6th committee chaired by Democratic Representative Nancy Pelosi of California abandoned its request for Republican National Committee fundraising data.
This week, the beleaguered January 6th Committee reportedly informed the RNC organizers that a subpoena for information about the Salesforce platform had been dropped. This information was reportedly reported by the Washington Post.
The committee indicated in the notification that at this point in the investigation, information about the Republican organization's fundraising activities was no longer essential. This was mentioned in reference to the ongoing probe.
This comes as a result of the committee's decision in February to issue a subpoena to the software firm Salesforce. They asserted that the Republican National Committee may have radicalized their supporters by sending fundraising emails.
