Add in her endorsement of “red flag” laws that enable authorities to seize firearms before any malfeasance occurs, and it’s clear that her policies would lead to a significant impairment of individual rights. In a classic case of bureaucratic overreach, she is eager to enforce mandatory gun buy-back programs, targeting firearms that don’t meet her approval—because when has a politician ever let principles of liberty get in the way of power?
Harris’s alleged gun ownership is a moot point. It doesn’t matter if she keeps a handgun for home defense if she insists on meddling with the rights of countless American citizens. While she may smile and assert that she’s all for the Second Amendment, her contradictory policies reveal a different story, one where the Second Amendment is merely a footnote in her ongoing quest for more control over law-abiding Americans.
