Under the watchful eye of Vice President Kamala Harris, the southern border has become more than just a crossing point; it’s practically a revolving door for potential national security threats. Since being bestowed with the grand title of “border czar” by President Biden in 2021, Harris has allowed more than 1.7 million individuals into the country who could very well pose a danger to American citizens. This staggering figure doesn’t even account for the additional 7.6 million illegal aliens or the 1.9 million “gotaways” that have found their way across the U.S.-Mexico border without so much as a “Howdy.”
Recent revelations from the House Judiciary have raised eyebrows and questions about the Biden-Harris Administration’s border policies. According to their report, Border Patrol agents have encountered at least 382 illegal aliens who currently sit on the U.S. government’s terrorist watchlist since January 2021. If that number makes one’s heart skip a beat, it gets even worse—at least 100 of those dubious characters were identified just in the ongoing fiscal year of 2024. It’s safe to say that under this administration’s lax approach, the notion of national security is quickly becoming a punchline.
The statistics don’t lie. The Department of Homeland Security, an agency that originally aimed to protect American citizens, has released a full 99 illegal aliens from the terrorist watchlist into the heart of American communities, with at least another 34 still sitting pretty in custody but not yet sent packing. While the Biden-Harris duo may spin the narrative to downplay any impending threats, the facts on the ground paint a starkly different picture. Faced with burgeoning evidence pointing to a national security crisis, the administration’s only solution seems to be selective silence. A former senior Border Patrol official recently testified to Congress about being told to zip it on crucial issues regarding “special interest aliens” from high-risk countries, all in an effort to convince the public that the southern border is as secure as Fort Knox.

In a fitting display of this administration’s penchant for opacity, the House Judiciary underscored the uncomfortable truth regarding Mohammad Kharwin, an illegal alien from Afghanistan who just so happens to be on the terrorist watchlist. The timing of Biden and Harris releasing him into the U.S. only to later discover the gravity of his background reveals a tin ear for national security. Whenever the DHS finally decides to cooperate with congressional inquiries, they seem to have a knack for dodging answers that could shed light on this troubling situation.
To add insult to injury, the DHS made a rather astonishing revelation — being an illegal immigrant from a “special interest country” apparently doesn’t hinder one’s ability to enter the U.S. This ludicrous stance raises alarm bells over what it means to prioritize the safety and security of American citizens. What’s next, handing out free pizza slices to unauthorized immigrants based on their country of origin? As it turns out, national security aesthetics don’t hold a candle to the open borders ideology that Harris and her colleagues seem hell-bent on maintaining.
