Kari Lake is shaking things up again, folks. The Arizona GOP Senate candidate delivered a fiery speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, taking direct aim at President Joe Biden and the Democrats’ “radical left” policies. Known for her take-no-prisoners style, it’s no surprise she hit the stage pledging to be a fierce “mama bear” fighting to bring Trump’s “Make America Great Again” agenda back into play.
Biden’s policies, especially on the border, economy, and education, came under heavy fire. Lake made it clear she’s not impressed with Rep. Ruben Gallego, pointing out that he has been nothing but a rubber stamp for Biden’s disastrous agenda. Not only does Gallego toe the line for Biden, but he recently voted against the SAVE Act, a bill that would have required proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote. So much for safeguarding our elections, right?

Lake has a warning for the left: they’ve unwittingly awakened a giant. She compared herself to a “mama bear” protecting her cubs, signaling that the Democrats have picked the wrong fight. Forget about crossing a grizzly bear—try dealing with a determined mother in Washington, D.C. That’s the metaphorical buzzsaw Democrats will encounter if they continue down their slippery, socialist slope.
She’s not just spitting rhetoric. Poll numbers back her up. Not only is Lake leading her primary race by a mile, but she’s closing the gap with Gallego. As recent as May, Gallego held a 10 to 13 percent lead over Lake. Fast forward, and polls now show the race is neck and neck. An internal survey from the Lake campaign even has her slightly ahead, 44 to 43 percent, with a significant chunk of voters still undecided.
The stakes are high. Control of the Senate could pivot on this race. With Democrats holding a slight edge in the chamber, a Lake victory could tip the scales. The GOP is also eyeing other seats in states like Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. If things break the right way, Republicans could control the Senate and put a firm check on Biden’s runaway train.
Of course, Lake’s crew is loving the momentum. They argue that the more voters learn about Gallego’s alignment with Biden, the more they’ll flock to Lake. And let’s not forget, Trump himself is polling ahead of Biden by a notable margin in Arizona. It seems the tide is turning, just in time for November.
