KJP made a bold claim on X, stating, “Today, we got more good economic news. 199,000 jobs created last month. A total of 14.1 million created under President Biden. That’s Bidenomics in action.” Well, sorry KJP, but the community wasn’t having it. A “helpful” community note pointed out that the majority of jobs under Biden were not actually created, but just people returning to work after those pesky government-mandated COVID shutdowns. The note even provided evidence from House budget figures to back it up. Looks like KJP’s claim was as shaky as a Jenga tower after a round of vigorous shaking!
But wait, there’s more! The Biden Administration has been called out left and right for playing fast and loose with jobs reports. EJ Antoni, an economist with the Heritage Foundation, tore into the September jobs report, debunking the administration’s rosy picture. Antoni highlighted that the unemployment rate was artificially low due to a depressed labor force participation rate, revealing the real unemployment rate to be significantly higher. Furthermore, he exposed that a whopping 22 percent of the so-called “created” jobs were actually from the government, yikes! That’s like trying to count Monopoly money as real cash!
But hold onto your hats, because the hits keep on coming. Antoni pointed out that the surge in part-time jobs is putting the brakes on wage growth, and when adjusted for inflation, real weekly earnings have taken a nosedive. Looks like the Bidenomics magic show may be nothing more than smoke and mirrors, folks.
