Yes, you heard that right, they want to NUCLEAR-BOMB an asteroid on a collision course with Earth. You can thank the geniuses at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for dreaming up this doomsday scenario.

The masterminds behind this reckless plan are the self-proclaimed planetary defense project lead, Megan Bruck Syal. She’s spewing nonsense about how this “modeling” will help us decide what to do when an asteroid comes knocking.
Bruck Syal tries to scare us into submission by yammering on about the “devastating consequences” of an asteroid impact. Give it a rest, Bruck Syal! We don’t need fearmongering from the likes of you. The probability of a massive asteroid crashing into our planet during our lifetime is as slim as the chances of finding honest politicians in Washington.
And get this, the so-called “asteroid expert,” Dr. Patrick Michel, is spreading more fear with his talk of “risks” involved in nuking the asteroid. He claims that if we miscalculate the nuke’s energy, we could end up with more dangerous asteroid fragments. Spare us the drama, Dr. Michel! These fear tactics won’t work on real Americans who see through the liberal agenda.
