In yet another shocking development, the liberal media is once again twisting the facts to fit their biased narrative. This time, they are wrongly blaming local police officers for the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. But the truth is far from what they want you to believe.
According to Butler Township Commissioner Edward Natali, who spoke to Breitbart News Daily, the local officers were only assigned traffic control duties. They were not involved in any security operations. It’s disgraceful that the media is attempting to tarnish the reputation of these officers who were doing their job.
Natali set the record straight by clarifying that the local officer who encountered the shooter was not climbing a ladder as initially reported. He was being hoisted by another officer with his hands cupped, reminiscent of a military maneuver. The officer on the ground was trying to get a better vantage point and see where the suspect was. Instead of acknowledging these officers' bravery and quick thinking, the media paints them as incompetent.

It’s important to note that the officer who saw the shooter on the roof was in no position to engage him. He was vulnerable, using the roof's edge to lift himself up. Despite being unable to use his gun, he did not retreat. He tried to grab his gun but ended up falling backward and injuring himself in the process. These officers were giving it their all, and it’s disheartening to see them being unfairly criticized.
The toll this incident has taken on the mental health of the officers should not be underestimated. Commissioner Natali revealed that the officer who encountered the shooter was in pretty bad shape mentally. This is a traumatic experience that will have long-lasting effects on these brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect us.
It’s just despicable how the media and social media users have been attacking these officers. They are already demoralized and shaken up, and the constant criticism only adds insult to injury. Hearing that the community stands by them and offers support and counseling services is heartening. We need to remember that these officers are human beings who deserve our respect and gratitude, not baseless accusations.
The bottom line is that the local police officers in Butler, Pennsylvania, had nothing to do with the security operation surrounding former President Donald Trump. They were solely responsible for traffic control. The attempts by the media to shift the blame onto them are nothing more than a desperate attempt to push a political agenda. It’s time to set the record straight and give credit where credit is due: to the brave men and women who risked their lives to protect our former president.
