Liberals in New York never fail to amaze. Once again, instead of following sensible rules that actually help Americans, they’re twisting the system to keep government handouts flowing. President Trump’s commonsense Medicaid work requirements were designed so healthy people could earn their benefits, not just collect taxpayer money for nothing. But New York City’s health commissioner—clearly a fan of big government games—thinks he’s found a loophole. They’re planning to have people “work” by simply teaching others about the very rules that are supposed to get folks off the couch.
It’s hard to tell if this is a joke, a scam, or both. Instead of encouraging real work—actual jobs that build skills and improve communities—New York is stretching the word “work” until it breaks. The latest “creative” scheme is to turn explaining government paperwork into a job itself. That’s not a career, it’s just another way for liberals to keep voters stuck in the cycle of dependency.

Let’s be honest—the entire liberal agenda depends on expanding government power and keeping as many people as possible under their thumb. They’ll call any government busywork “productive” and tout it as a triumph of progressive thinking. This kind of nonsense is why real Americans are fed up. Hardworking people see their tax dollars scooped up and resent having to pay for fake jobs designed to check a box rather than strengthen our country.
Whatever happened to good old-fashioned work? The kind where someone clocks in, puts in effort, and earns a paycheck? Liberal elites don’t want that. They believe they know better than the rest of us, and they’re shamelessly gaming any conservative effort to restore American values. While honest Americans grind each day, bureaucrats in New York hand out make-believe tasks and call it progress.
Don’t be fooled. This isn’t “creativity”—it’s open defiance. The left loves to cheat the system, then crow about how clever they are. But at the end of the day, it’s the taxpayers and the American spirit that take the hit. Is there anything liberals won’t do to keep their grip on power—even if it means turning work itself into a farce?
