Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, a Democrat, made quite the claim at a recent press conference. In her attempt to defend Democrat-run cities, she boldly stated that these cities are actually great places to be. She insisted that growth is happening and the economy is flourishing under Democratic leadership. It’s almost admirable how delusional she is.

Let’s not forget that this press conference took place in Milwaukee, where the city has been grappling with a surge in violence. Just recently, nearly 30 people were shot, resulting in four deaths. It’s ironic that Rhodes-Conway would claim Democrat-run cities are thriving, when the reality is quite the opposite.

While it’s not fair to paint every single Democrat-run city with the same brush, it is undeniably evident that many of them have been plagued by decline. The aftermath of the BLM riots and the damaging effects of COVID-related restrictions have taken a toll on these cities. And it’s no surprise that people are fleeing from the big Democrat-run states like California, Illinois, and New York in search of better opportunities in red states like Florida.
It’s time for Democrats like Rhodes-Conway to face the truth and take responsibility for the state of their cities. It’s not enough to make baseless claims and ignore the actual problems that their policies have caused. The American people deserve leaders who are willing to acknowledge the failures of their governance and work towards real solutions.
