The radical left has a double standard. When Democrats question the results of an election, break the law, or say racist things, it's always been a reason why it's different.
In a recent Time magazine article, the magazine criticized Republicans for labeling Hakeem Jeffries, the incoming leader of the House Democratic minority, as an election denier.
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York is an election-denier. He has called out Donald Trump for being an illegitimate president.
Time stated that the term "election denier" has been associated with Republicans who claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. They stated that they did not have evidence of widespread fraud.
The author of the article stated that calling Jeffries an election denier is misleading and that it doesn't address the real issue. He said that many of his fellow Democrats have refused to accept the results of elections won by Republicans.
Since 2000, every single president elected by a Republican has been called illegitimate by Democrats. After Al Gore lost to George W. Bush in 2000, many Democrats claimed that he was "unelected." In 2013, Joe Biden said that he thought Gore won the 2000 election.
In 2004, John Kerry almost conceded the election in Ohio due to the issues with the voting machines. Some Democrats tried to delay the certification of the results of the election in Ohio. In 2018, Kerry claimed that Bush won the election.
The allegation of Russian collusion was the reason why Donald Trump was able to beat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. However, after a multi-million dollar investigation failed to uncover evidence of this, many Democrats still believe that Trump stole the election.
In each instance, the individuals who made the false claims about the election were free to do so. The people who questioned the results of the elections in 2020 were also free to do so.
Time magazine's explanation of why some Democrats, such as Hakeem Jeffries, aren't election deniers is flat out wrong. They continue to claim that the elections are stolen from them. It's a pastime for Democrats.
