West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin’s office has been making headlines after an intense altercation between his communications director and a climate protester. In a video released by the environmentalist group Climate Defiance, the protester confronted Manchin at a Harvard event, hurling profanities and accusations at the Democrat. Manchin, not one to shy away from confrontation, rose from his seat to address the protester. However, before the protester could finish his tirade, he was swiftly ejected from the room by Manchin’s communications director, Jonathan Kott.

Additionally, the climate demonstrators’ anger is directed at Manchin’s support for the construction of the Mountain Valley Pipeline, a project that promises much-needed jobs and energy security for the United States.
