Microsoft has once again revealed its underlying bias, this time through its Image Creator, the AI-driven image generation tool available on Bing. It seems that while creativity is encouraged—unless it involves anything remotely supportive of Donald Trump—Microsoft is perfectly fine with users whipping up images for Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign. This blatant discrimination highlights the ongoing attempts by tech giant gatekeepers to control the narrative and push their own political agenda, leaving many conservatives frustrated and bewildered.
The entire episode began when an ambitious writer, hoping to create a cheerful image of a shark named Sammy donning a MAGA hat, encountered the notorious “content policy” of Microsoft’s AI. According to the policy, the service is committed to promoting user safety and ensuring patterns of bullying or harassment do not pervade its offerings. However, it seems the only true offense in the eyes of Microsoft comes when the subject embodies conservative values or supports Republican candidates. An innocuous cartoon shark was deemed “unsafe.” Such a decision raises serious questions about whom Microsoft really views as a target for their protective measures.
