Musk Stands Firm on Dogecoin and Trump Backing Despite Backlash

The recent firebombing of a Tesla dealership in Kansas City, allegedly carried out by 19-year-old Owen McIntire, is a sobering example of the rising tide of politically motivated violence targeting American businesses. McIntire, a college student from the University of Massachusetts, reportedly destroyed two Tesla Cybertrucks using Molotov cocktails, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. Federal authorities, recognizing the seriousness of the act, have charged McIntire with malicious damage and possession of an unregistered destructive device, with prosecutors pushing for pretrial detention due to public safety concerns.

Yet, in a move that defies common sense and the expectations of law-abiding Americans, McIntire was released from federal custody. The rationale? His defense argued that incarceration would disrupt his ongoing gender transition treatments and mental health care, and a judge agreed, allowing him to return home under electronic monitoring. This decision sends a dangerous message: that personal circumstances, such as gender identity or mental health issues, can be used to avoid the consequences of violent, destructive acts. It is a precedent that threatens to undermine the very foundation of equal justice under the law.

Meanwhile, the broader context cannot be ignored. Since Elon Musk aligned himself with Donald Trump and took a prominent role in the Trump administration, Tesla dealerships have become frequent targets of vandalism and arson. What was once a darling of the left has now become a lightning rod for left-wing rage, simply because Musk dared to support conservative values and government reform. The mainstream media, however, has been conspicuously silent or dismissive, downplaying the political motivations behind these attacks and failing to hold perpetrators accountable.

This normalization of political violence is not limited to attacks on property. In Maine, a high school teacher recently posted calls for violence against Trump supporters on social media and remains under investigation, raising serious concerns about the safety and ideological environment in our schools. Parents are left to wonder whether those entrusted with educating their children are instead promoting radical, dangerous ideas.

The line between justice and political favoritism has never been thinner. When violent acts are excused or minimized due to the perpetrator’s identity or political alignment, it erodes public trust in our institutions and emboldens extremists. America must return to a standard where the law is applied equally, without regard to ideology or identity. Anything less risks turning our justice system into a tool for political and social engineering, rather than a safeguard for order, safety, and liberty.
