In an interview set to air on Monday, California’s radical governor Gavin Newsom made it known that he has been in close communication with his fellow Democrat, President Joe Biden, even when Biden goes out of the country. However, when asked about his own presidential aspirations, Newsom was hesitant to share any of his own future plans.

During a conversation with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Newsom avoided questions regarding whether he is planning to run for office or not. Instead, he boasted about his close relationship with President Biden and assured Hannity that he has been in close quarters with him, whether it be on Air Force One, Marine One, or in the presidential limo.
While Newsom may be cozying up to the current president, he has been promoting his own agenda on a national level. He recently took to Twitter to call for an amendment to limit gun ownership, which would mean limiting the ability of millions of Americans to protect themselves and their families. His proposal includes raising the minimum age for buying firearms to 21, implementing a universal background check system, and imposing waiting periods and a ban on civilian purchases of assault weapons, with no formal definition of the term.
On top of this, Newsom has been regularly attacking Florida’s highly successful Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, throwing around insults like calling him a “small, pathetic man” and falsely claiming that his policies surrounding illegal immigrants are akin to kidnapping. It’s no surprise that a radical leftist like Newsom would be threatened by DeSantis’s success in reducing crime rates and protecting the safety of his constituents.
It is clear that Newsom’s focus is not on governing California but on advancing his own national political ambitions. With his extremist views and petty attacks on fellow Republicans, it becomes more apparent that Newsom cannot be trusted to uphold the values of this great nation.
