Former President Barack Obama paid a visit to the White House recently for a top-secret meeting with Joe Biden. The purpose of their lunchtime powwow was reportedly for Obama to give Biden a little pep talk and warn him about underestimating Donald Trump and the powerful GOP.
According to The Washington Post, Obama assured Biden that he would be there with bells on to support his 2024 re-election campaign. The two politicians met in the White House residence and, while the official reason for Obama’s visit was a “catch-up,” it seems that his main concern was the iron grip that Trump has over the Republican Party.

But hey, let’s not forget that Biden himself has quite a few questionable moments. I mean, the guy sometimes seems like he’s not even sure which planet he’s on! On the bright side, Obama did acknowledge that Trump could be a formidable candidate, even if Democrats fail to see it.
An advisor to Obama recently spilled the beans, revealing that the ex-president is all about finding creative ways to connect with new audiences and mobilize voters. They’re being very choosy about when to make their move, because their ultimate goal is to “move the needle.”
It’s worth noting that just a few weeks ago, reports emerged suggesting that Obama is secretly trying to replace Biden because he’s supposedly “too old” to win. Apparently, Obama has been meeting with younger House Democrats in an effort to rally support for a potential replacement. The meetings, which were apparently filled with cheese and crackers (how classy!), have raised eyebrows about Obama’s motives. Is he jumping ship because Biden is becoming a liability? Some insiders seem to think so.
All in all, it’s clear that Obama still has some tricks up his sleeve. The question is, will Biden heed his advice or will he rely on his own instincts? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure: the 2024 election is going to be an interesting one to watch.
