In an unsurprising twist of events, an Obama-appointed judge has once again trampled on the rights of former President Donald Trump by reinstating a gag order in his federal election interference case. It seems like these activist judges just can’t resist trying to silence the voices of conservatives.

Judge Tanya Chutkan, who seems to have taken a personal interest in stifling Trump’s defense, reversed the earlier decision to pause the gag order. The request to lift the order came from President Trump himself, who correctly argued that it unfairly hampers his ability to defend himself in this politically motivated case.
But of course, the Biden Justice Department’s special counsel, Jack Smith, was quick to justify this infringement on Trump’s free speech rights. They claimed that Trump was intimidating witnesses and pointed to a recent post on his new social media platform, Truth Social, where he criticized Mark Meadows, his former chief of staff and co-defendant.
In her nine-page order, Judge Chutkan brushed aside Trump’s free speech defense and stated that his mention of Meadows would have violated the order if it had been in effect. Apparently, in Chutkan’s courtroom, criticizing your co-defendants is a crime. It’s clear that this judge is more interested in protecting her own delicate sensibilities than in upholding the Constitution.
Chutkan did acknowledge that President Trump has some rights to speak about his case, but she conveniently claimed that those rights can’t interfere with the “orderly administration of justice.” It’s just code for “shut up and let us railroad you without complaint.” The judge wants to control the narrative and prevent Trump from gaining any sympathy or support.
To add insult to injury, Chutkan cited another statement by Trump where he promised to present “100% evidence” at his trial to prove election fraud. According to her twisted logic, this statement is permissible under the gag order. It’s clear that there’s a double standard at play here. Anything that supports Trump’s case is fair game, but any criticism of his co-defendants is forbidden.
President Trump, not one to stay silent, openly criticized Judge Chutkan, calling her a “biased, Trump-hating judge.” And he’s absolutely right. Her bias against Trump is clear as day, and she’s using her position of power to try and disadvantage him against his prosecutorial and political opponents.
This case, which was brought by Biden’s partisan appointee, Jack Smith, is nothing more than a political hit job. They’re trying to take down the Republican frontrunner by throwing baseless charges against him. Smith is already facing numerous legal setbacks, and it’s no wonder considering he’s up against Trump’s formidable legal team. It’s evident that this case is taking its toll on Smith, who is now spending an exorbitant amount of taxpayer money to go after Trump.
The American people deserve justice, not politically motivated prosecutions. It’s high time that we have judges who prioritize the rule of law over their own personal agendas. This unfair gag order is just another example of the lengths the left will go to silence conservatives and prevent them from fighting back. But mark our words, Trump won’t be silenced. He will continue to fight for truth, justice, and the American way, no matter what these biased judges throw his way.
