The shocking news of a Pentagon officer involved in a cruel dogfighting ring has left conservatives shaking their heads in disbelief. Frederick Douglass Moorefield Jr., a 62-year-old man from Maryland, was arrested for promoting animal fights after investigators discovered the disturbing truth hidden behind the doors of his home.
First of all, let’s talk about the name of his operation: “Geehad Kennels.” Seriously? It’s bad enough that he was involved in such a repulsive activity, but to give it a name that glorifies violence and extremism is absolutely outrageous. It’s a slap in the face to all those who truly understand and respect the sacrifices made in the name of fighting terrorism.
But the horror doesn’t stop there. Moorefield and his accomplice, Mario Damon Flythe, not only coordinated dog fights but also discussed ways to avoid getting caught. They exchanged encrypted messages like two criminal masterminds, as if promoting violence against innocent animals is some sort of secret society.
The evidence found in Moorefield’s home is straight out of a nightmare. Dingy kennels, performance-enhancing steroids, and even jumper cables that were likely used to electrocute the poor dogs if they lost a fight. It’s sickening to think that someone who held a position of authority in the Pentagon would stoop so low and engage in such appalling behavior.
And let’s not forget about the “weighted dog vest” with a patch reading “Geehad Kennels.” Not only were these dogs subjected to unimaginable cruelty, but they were also used as walking billboards for Moorefield’s twisted pleasure. It’s clear that this man had no regard for the lives or well-being of these innocent animals.

The fact that Animal control discovered the bodies of two dogs in plastic bags with mail addressed to Moorefield’s home is truly disturbing. This suggests that Moorefield not only sponsored these dogs in dogfights but also took part in their brutal deaths. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to think about the terror and pain these animals must have endured at the hands of this twisted individual.
Thankfully, the Pentagon has taken action, stating that Moorefield is “no longer in the workplace.” But it shouldn’t stop there. This man should face the full extent of the law for his despicable actions. Five years in prison doesn’t seem like enough for someone who caused so much suffering and participated in such cruelty.
It’s a sad day when someone who is supposed to protect our nation’s interests is found engaged in such repulsive behavior. This case serves as a reminder that evil can lurk in unexpected places, even within the ranks of our military. Let’s hope that justice is served, and that this incident is not representative of the values and character of those who serve our country.
