When will the Left stop pretending their heroes are flawless? Americans just learned that Rama Duwaji, the wife of radical New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, is in hot water after old social media posts resurfaced. These weren’t just embarrassing college mistakes. Duwaji posted slurs and celebrated notorious figures linked to Palestinian terrorist groups. Now, she’s desperately trying to apologize, hoping the public will forget what she really thinks when nobody’s watching.
This is par for the course with the progressive elite. They wrap themselves in the cloak of tolerance and peace, but scratch the surface, and you see the extremism. The Mamdanis of the world lecture middle America about “hate” and “inclusiveness,” and then we find the folks closest to them spewing the ugliest kind of hatred online. Is this who New York wants leading its city—someone married to a woman who openly cheered terror groups that attack our allies and threaten free democracies?

The mainstream media gives liberals a free pass every time. Imagine if a conservative’s spouse had posted anything remotely similar. The story would be blasted out for weeks, and the demands to resign would be deafening. But because the Mamdanis have the right politics, the liberal machine wants to sweep it under the rug and move on. “She apologized, nothing to see here,” they’ll say, as if a hasty PR clean-up can erase years of radicalism.
This is what happens when globalist, anti-American ideology infects every corner of our leadership. People connected to terrorism, bigotry, and anti-Western sentiment are the ones shaping policy in America’s greatest city. Instead of holding themselves accountable, the Left gives out participation trophies and expects the rest of us to shrug off the double standards.
The truth is, voters are sick of the hypocrisy. Ordinary Americans deserve better than leaders whose inner circles harbor such disgraceful views. If this is the best the progressive Left can offer, maybe it’s time for a change—before the inmates are running the asylum.
