In a shocking act of disrespect for our nation’s founding documents, two climate activists were arrested for throwing pink powder on the U.S. Constitution at the National Archives. These left-wing radicals have no regard for the principles that our great country was built upon.

The incident occurred in the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom, where the U.S. Constitution is proudly displayed. These activists claimed that their outrageous behavior was meant to raise awareness for climate change. But let’s be real here, folks. Throwing pink powder on a historical artifact is not going to solve any environmental issues.
In a video shared on Twitter, one of the activists can be heard spewing their misguided rhetoric about equality and clean air. Look, we all want a healthy environment, but that doesn’t mean we should deface our nation’s most sacred documents. These individuals seem to have forgotten that it is the Constitution that protects our rights and ensures our freedom.
Thankfully, Capitol Police swiftly dealt with these troublemakers and placed them under arrest. They deserve to face the full consequences of their actions. The National Archives, although it was forced to close early due to this disturbance, assured the public that the Constitution remained unharmed.
Dr. Colleen Shogan, the Archivist of the United States, expressed her outrage at the incident and vowed to pursue legal action against the perpetrators. And that’s exactly what should happen! This type of behavior cannot go unpunished. We must send a clear message that our historical treasures and values will not be tarnished by radical activists with their own agenda.
It’s disheartening to see individuals who claim to care about the environment resort to such destructive and disrespectful methods. These activists should channel their passion into productive and lawful actions if they truly want to make a positive impact. Harming our nation’s history will never bring about the change they seek.
Let this incident serve as a reminder to all that we must cherish and protect our Constitution. Our Founding Fathers fought hard to secure our liberties, and we must honor their legacy by upholding the values of our great nation.
