In a heartfelt and passionate speech, the father of Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz, a brave Marine who made the ultimate sacrifice, did not hold back his criticisms of President Joe Biden. As a Gold Star dad, he had every right to speak out against the Commander-in-Chief and express his frustration with the current administration.
The Gold Star dad began by pointing out Biden’s failure to publicly acknowledge the fallen soldiers by name, stating, “Our so-called leader can’t seem to even utter their names in public, not even once.” This lack of respect and acknowledgment deeply bothered the father, as it should every American who values the sacrifice made by our military heroes.
Furthermore, he questioned Biden’s reputation as a family man, emphasizing that the truth about him is being revealed. With the curtain being lifted, the father believes that Biden’s campaign slogan of being a family-focused leader will no longer resonate with the American people. And he couldn’t be more right.

Adding to the emotional weight of his speech, the father recounted the heart-wrenching experience of receiving his son’s body back in the United States. He vividly described the moment he stood on the tarmac, watching Biden repeatedly check his watch. The father’s anger and frustration at the President’s lack of empathy were palpable as he declared, “All I wanted to do was shout out, ‘It’s 2:30, asshole!'”. This raw emotion is a testament to the pain and loss suffered by him and so many other Gold Star families.
Not stopping there, the Gold Star dad went on to criticize Biden’s disastrous policy decisions, particularly the reckless withdrawal from Afghanistan. He aptly called it “the purest definition of intentional negligence” and highlighted how leaving behind military hardware has led to a dangerous black market. These are valid concerns that deserve attention and accountability.
In a final and powerful statement, the father accused Biden of having more American blood on his hands than any other president in U.S. history. This accusation is not to be taken lightly and reflects the frustration and anger felt by many Americans who see our country’s decline under this administration.
