As part of the Democratic campaign against the Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade, the Satanic Temple joined the fray.
As part of their legal strategy, the Satanic Temple has produced a statement stating that they will fight for the right to “religious abortion.”
In a statement to Fox News, the Satanic Temple (TST) stated that its adherents should be allowed to use religious exemptions to execute religious abortion rites in states that have placed restrictions on the contentious operation.
TST stated that it was dedicated to preserve religious abortion access for its members in response to a leaked Supreme Court decision draft that would overturn Roe v. Wade.
When abortion is prohibited in a state but exceptions are made for cases of incest and rape, TST members should be allowed to perform the religious abortion ritual prescribed by the group.
Those states that criminalize abortion and do not provide exceptions present more major problems, but TST has a number of initiatives in the works that we hope to implement very soon.
TST is suing the FDA in order to obtain Mifepristone and Misoprostol for usage under medical supervision as part of our religious abortion ritual, which will be the first step in the litigation.
