Mark Paoletta, a close associate of Thomas, vehemently dismissed Schiff's claims, citing a long-standing acquaintance with Thomas and refuting any hint of dissatisfaction regarding pay. Paoletta also pointed to Thomas's commitment, tracing it back to a 1991 vow to serve on the Supreme Court for over four decades.
Ambassador Chris Landau, Thomas's inaugural clerk and longtime confidant, echoed Paoletta's sentiments, countering the accusations against Thomas. Landau underscored Thomas's unwavering dedication to his role on the Court, echoing Thomas's own steadfastness expressed decades ago.
Conservatives rallied in defense of Justice Thomas, casting the attacks as reprehensible ploys to dislodge him from the Supreme Court. They rallied around Thomas's resilience and resolute dedication, dismissing the Left's smear campaign as feeble and unfounded. Schiff's unfounded claims encountered robust and unified opposition from the conservative quarters.
