A 52-year-old passenger, Zhang Xiuqiang, has been accused of stealing a whopping $23,000 from three fellow passengers aboard a Scoot Airline flight from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to Singapore. Can you believe this guy? What kind of audacity does it take to go around pilfering people’s hard-earned cash while cruising at 30,000 feet?

When one of the passengers finally had enough and brought these shady shenanigans to the attention of a flight attendant, the crew wasted no time and promptly alerted the proper authorities at the airport.
As soon as the plane touched down, Zhang and his alleged victims were marched off the aircraft by airport authorities. That’s right, folks – justice was swift, and the long arm of the law caught up with this alleged thief faster than you can say “mile-high misdemeanor.”
Now, Zhang is facing the music and has been officially charged with theft counts in a Singapore district court. If the evidence stacks up against him, he could be looking at a cozy nine-year stay in the slammer, a hefty fine, or maybe even both.
