Justice Sonia Sotomayor just can’t seem to keep her partisan stripes hidden. She’s out there rallying the troops—this time at the American Bar Association—telling lawyers to prepare for battle against the Trump administration. Seems like Lady Justice has put away her blindfold to better spot her political targets.
Sotomayor delivered a fiery call to arms. Talk about seeing red—or in her case, blue. Advising lawyers to stand up for the so-called “lost causes,” she left no doubt her target is the current conservative resurgence. What happened to being blind and fair, Sonia?

It’s appalling that a Supreme Court Justice would openly show such bias. Her claim to “stand up for lost causes” reads more like a declaration of war on Trump and the values he’s working to reinstate. Her statement raises a serious question: Are judges being “champions of justice” or “political warriors” in robes?
This isn’t the first time Sotomayor has danced into the political arena. She has previously waved the flag for abortion rights, underlining her left-leaning stances at every opportunity. Is this the nonpartisan behavior we expect from a justice? Or just another liberal-driven agenda in disguise?
With members of the judiciary like Sotomayor throwing political punches instead of impartially weighing cases, one wonders whether justice as we know it might be another casualty sacrificed at the altar of liberal ideologies. Will the scales ever balance again, or have they tipped too far left to return?
